During the procedure you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations subside as the area becomes numb. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity, and sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment.
We use your starting weight as a benchmark to ensure that changes to your lifestyle and eating habits haven't inhibited your results. It's up to the individual being treated to maintain a healthy weight, lifestyle and proper diet in order to achieve and maintain superior results. CoolSculpting is not a cure for obesity or more serious health issues. We can only guarantee that you will see a difference in the treatment area if you follow the treatment plan we lay out for you.
While the frequency is low (1 in 4,000 as of August 2021), it is important to consider that rare side effects may also occur. CoolSculpting® may cause a visible enlargement in the treated area (PAH), which may develop 2 to 5 months after treatment and requires surgical intervention for correction.
